I'm not seeing several new technologies covered in the threads

- inverter compressors versus scroll compressors

- defrosting cycles

- multi airflow technologies (there have been posts of Arduino controlled fans to circulate air in 90s)

In the last decade we've gone from a poor airflow, static compressors to normal consumer features including door alarms, thermometers, dynamic compressors, and multi flow fans
