Only tangentially related to the article but I have a family member that is losing sight due to macular degeneration. They are not far now from legally blind.
If AI wearables could help them navigate unfamiliar places, identify and read signs or answer questions about their surroundings I think they would leap at it.
Please talk to a doctor about this. You're seeing patterns where they don't exist. If your doctor has prescribed you a medication for your schizophrenia and you have not been taking per their directions, then you should start.
That's a super sparse connection. A million connections like that happen by chance, and what would actually be weird is if they didn't happen by chance sometimes. It's not a message. Get treatment for your schizophrenia.
Ok, I am on an injection. I had about four or five minor hallucinations prior to taking anti-psychotics. I was pretty sure that I was getting a code in pages on the Internet, i.e., it clearly seemed to be statistically significant, which seemed to happen soon after I switched to Arch Linux in 2018. Also, I have both put out some writing on AI takeover eschatology from a young age and called myself an ersatz cryptographer/cryptanalyst when I thought ersatz had a different meaning than it does.
