I was working on a product that relies on ACP (agent client protocol). Gemini CLI supports ACP natively although it is missing some protocols. But I found that Antigravity CLI (agy) lacks ACP support! It's a bad sign for me.
I must admit that I have a few thesis orphans. I didn't think them this way that they are my children. But in some sense, they are! I am feeling a bit ashamed.
it is unfortunate the there is little motivation to publish thesis projects to a wider audience. not to blame the authors here, because that is how the system works. exceptions require extraordinary effort or extrinsic motivation.
one project i am working with got a grant that was conditioned on the project being published as open source. it motivated the developers/researchers to reach out to the wider community and even package the project for a linux distribution. that's how i was able to find out about it. i got involved and i am still using it 20 years later. but without that grant this likely would not have happened.
Classic 3d simulation artifact with boundary conditions. I remember for an assignment where I had to model liquid with rigid bodies, they would suddenly gain infinite force at the corner and just disappear. It's clear that they must have used a lot of these kinds of synthetic data. But what's impressive to me, every release of these models, I am feeling less and less uncanny valley.
I check almost every mistral model. But to be honest after agentic coding has become a thing, I only test their models in a chat app. I tried their coding TUI a few months back and found that it was way behind. It didn't even support skills back then. I wish they go strong just because they are a big AI player in Europe and I have personal connection to France.
Wow what’s with all the styling? Is it manifestation of google’s styling bias? I like the result for sure. It’s shiny and pretty. But then it’s something I didn’t ask for.
While I am excited, the price compared to gemini 3 flash preview which I used for the longest time is x3 more. Upon arrival of deepseek v4 flash, I am a happy user of deepseek. We will see how long that reign would last after I try this new gemini.
